Old Pals at Parkfield
This past weekend the Old Pals had a big weekend down at the Parkfield Bluegrass Festival. In the span of about 24 hours (Saturday afternoon to Sunday afternoon) the Pals played their first gig ever on the Parkfield Fest stage, gave mandolin (Butch, Craig and Matt) and banjo (Larry) workshops, played the Sunday morning gospel set (Craig and Matt), recorded a a 4 song demo (in just a half hour!), and then played the second-to-last set of the Fest inside the local cafe (due to rain). All in all the Pals felt like it was a pretty fun, and successful, first outing. Here are some pix and video:
